Our Story
Back in 2016, I decided life wasn’t quite dangerous enough, so naturally, I picked up a hobby that involves lye. Cold process soap. Yep—the same stuff people whisper about like it’s liquid doom. “Isn’t that toxic?” they asked. Well… sort of. But I like to think of it as my version of extreme sports. Other people climb mountains—I play with caustic substances in my kitchen. Tomato, tomahto.
I devoured books, took a local class, roped in an accomplice (because explosions are always more fun with a friend), and boom—saponification magic. I was instantly hooked. Sure, there were a few failed attempts (RIP, sad bars of sludge), but eventually, I was cranking out soap like a bubbly little factory. Friends and family got piles of it as gifts whether they wanted it or not, and my house smelled like a lavender patch collided with a candy shop.
Then came my other half with his dramatic grumble: “You should sell your soaps.”
At first? Nope. The idea of charging people for something I poured my whole heart into felt… wrong. Like selling hugs. But he kept pestering me (“Man, your soap is so good, I’m telling you…”), and eventually, I caved.
Fast forward: a lot of experiments, triumphs, meltdowns, and probably a small fortune in essential oils later, and I had myself a full-blown business (officially in 2022).
And here’s the thing: once you give me a cauldron and some ingredients, I can’t stop at just soap. Suddenly I’m making:
💋 Lip balm smoother than a pickup line after three cocktails
💣 Bath bombs (adult fizzies + kid-approved chaos nuggets)
🌬 Shower steamers that unclog noses and bad vibes alike
🙌 Deodorant that keeps your pits fresh and your secrets fresher
🧴 Magnesium lotion for tired muscles
🌱 Farmer’s Friend salve for soil-stained hands
✒️ Ink stick, a tattoo’s favorite wingman
Basically, if it can fizz, soothe, smell good, or moisturize—I’ve probably made it. And if I haven’t yet, it’s only a matter of time.
Of course, my other not-so-secret obsession is herbs. 🌿 Herbalism sneaks into so many of my products—rose soap, honeysuckle soap, chamomile baby bum bar (say that five times fast). I grow what I can on my land, because plants raised with love just work better. And when I can’t grow enough, I source from kindred plant nerds here in Kentucky, like Honesty & Herbs.
So yeah… what started as a “dangerous little hobby” is now a full-blown potion shop. A mix of soap, botanicals, and a pinch of chaos. My mission? To make products that not only work beautifully but also make you grin every time you use them.
Because honestly—life’s too short for boring soap. 🧼✨
